August had been quite a month where a significant number of events took place, so i thought: why not blog about it? I know I'm kinda like spamming blogposts but I thought this post can help to make my blog less empty so yeap. In the month of August, we celebrated Singapore's 49th Birthday in school. yep. National Day.Then there was the National Day Dinner performance (NDD), Teenage K-POP Dance Battle and a few people's birthday, so now I'm going to talk more about the events.

Celebrations.

So let me start of with the National Day celebration in school. Well in the morning, everyone (or should I say most) people went to school in their angang tops (got the mood yeah). We watched the UGs do their freestyle drills during the morning assembly and DAMN were they synchronized! Sadly, I didn't capture anything with my camera (yeah I know that kinda defeats the purpose of bringing a camera but whatever). MOVING ON. The Modern Dancers went to assemble in the dance studio to do our hair and makeup, in preparation for our performance later on during the concert.

So I did this. I know. #stepphotographer.

So anyway, Miss Poh came back to WRS on that day. We were doing community singing on stage when she appeared and a bunch of us were screaming on stage and ran forward for a group hug hahah. And of course we hardly have the chance to see Miss Poh so I must take a photo with her too right.

National Day Dinner (NDD)

So a week or so later, Modern Dance, UGs, guzheng and choir (sorry if i missed out any) went to the NDD somewhere between Causeway Point and Republic Polytechnic to perform our Unconditionally- Come Back Home item. Took some photos before the performance. But I'm just gonna put all the photos at the end of this paragraph haha. So we were eating our dinner, taking selfies and there was Miss Wong RuiJun playing with her spoon. I don't know what is wrong with her. She brought the spoon with her when we walked around to take photos omg. I tak boleh tahan her seriously. Okay, also, RYANNIE CAME WOOHOO. I think she was there to help out with her bro. And she was wearing the watch i gave her haha so much loves okay. Actually there is nothing much to talk about la. The performance went quite smoothly I guess. I don't know. At least i did not make any mistakes unlike when we performed in school.

Birthdays.

So there were some birthdays that fell on August, Sheauqian, Britney, RuiJun. My Brother and my Dad. So for Sheuqian, Ryann planned her Sweet 16th surprise for her we got her balloons and a cake (ok i just remembered i haven't pay Ryann for that). Ok we're just so sweet she cried haha. Okay then my Brother had his 24th Birthday celebrated at Marina Bay ( The Sail ) with an awesome yummy buffet and his friends singing for him. It was quite nicely done up la and then he himself also sang a few songs. I have nothing much to say here so let's move on to the photos...

Teenage K-POP Dance Battle

In case you don't know, I, together with my team, Black Illusion, were sent for auditions by our CCA Instructor, Miss Stephanie Loh (She is teaching at her own studio with her crew too! I will leave her website down at the end of this blogpost in case you want to take a look). So we were quite nervous as we didn't have competition experiences, we only performed and had our Dance Recital ( Dare To Dream ). When we got called in I had to admit I was super nervous and it was DAYUM so awkward. We were like super near the judges so I was like staring in their face. We did make mistakes but in the end, we were given the golden card and will be entering the Semi-finals. It was so shocking and overwhelming. We did not expect to get to the next round so yeahh. Initially we wanted to lepak afterwards but we were all shagged so we went home. Anyway I want to thank Miss Loh and Mr Sean, without them we would not be where we are. And also Guocun (aka manager oppa) and friend for coming down to suppok us:)
